Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy recently presented a special facsimile edition of Ismail Hakki Bursevi’s Quranic commentary to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The presentation took place at Rami Library during an event attended by the President.
The publication, produced in collaboration with the Manuscripts Institution of Turkey and the Bursa Governorship, marks the 300th anniversary of the scholar's passing. It features the original 16-volume manuscript written by Bursevi himself, which had never been reproduced in this format before. The work is presented in a custom wooden box, accompanied by an additional volume of modern research regarding the author and his influential text.
Minister Ersoy expressed his gratitude to President Erdogan for his support in preserving cultural heritage and for contributing an introductory piece to the work. Experts in theology and calligraphy were involved in every stage of the production to ensure the original characteristics of the historical manuscript were preserved for future generations.
